And one day she will come to you
with fistfulls of glitter and an idea.
Her face will shine with it
and with certainty of your affirmation.

And if your care is for the new couch
you will lose something precious,
irreplaceable.

You will find glitter in the cushions
for years, yes. But, when you
witness her, grown and shining still,
making something real and true,

you will see that glitter rain down
all over again: settling in hair, in eyelashes,
in memory, in wide open heart.
